Research in semiconductors will be carried out at the Indian Institute of Technology (BHU) in Varanasi with the help of materials engineering firm Applied Materials, Inc’s India-based subsidiary, Applied Materials India Pvt Ltd.

As a result of the partnership, students at IIT (BHU) would have access to cutting-edge training in materials engineering.

In the past, Applied Materials India provided characterisation equipment for the Central Instrument Facility at IIT (BHU) Varanasi, allowing students to gain practical experience in the structural characterisation of materials through collaboration with the institute.
