Bhuvan Bam lost both his parents to Covid-19 within a month of each other. An Instagram post by a YouTuber said he would have to learn to live again.
With his funny sketches and impersonations, YouTuber Bhuvan Bam has brought joy to millions of people. So to many of his fans and followers, a notification from his BB Ki Vines channel means guaranteed laughter. But on Saturday, Bam shared some sad news: he lost both his parents to Covid-19 in the last month.
In a post to his Instagram account, Bam shared a set of photos of himself with his parents during happier times.
The last month has been a wreck for me. I have lost both my lifelines to Covid. I will never be the same without my parents. My home, my dreams, everything has fallen apart,” he wrote.
According to this YouTuber, “My mom is not with me; my dad is not with me. So I will have to learn to live again. But I don’t want to.”
“Was I a good son? Did I do enough to save them? I’ll have to live with these questions forever. I can’t wait to see them again. I wish the day comes soon,” he continued.
The Instagram post about Bam’s grief led to condolences and messages of encouragement from fans and celebrities.
Among the comments left by Bam was a response from Rajkummar Rao, who wrote, “I’m so sorry for your loss, Bhai. You’ve done a lot. I’ve seen it first hand. We did whatever we could, but nobody can change what’s written in destiny. Being someone who has lost both his parents, I can tell you they will never leave you; their blessing will always be with you. May God give you strength, Bhai. I’m always there.”
