IIT Ropar, NIT Srinagar, and NIT Jalandhar collaborated on academic and research projects

The MoU was signed by IIT Ropar, NIT Srinagar, and NIT Jalandhar, respectively. On the academic and research fronts, the partnership will focus on mutual interests. Additionally, it promotes entrepreneurship, innovation, and research in a variety of fields.

Joint research projects, joint Ph.D. supervisions, joint workshops and seminars, etc., have been signed by the Indian Institute of Technology Ropar, the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Srinagar, the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Jalandhar.

IIT Ropar Director Rajeev Ahuja, NIT Srinagar Director Rakesh Sehgal, and Dr. B. R. Ambedkar National Institute of Technology Director R. K. Garg signed the MoU.

The MoU is part of IIT Ropar’s effort to bring in meritorious students from NITs to spend their final semesters at lIT Ropar, where they can take courses and complete a research project. After a rigorous selection process, students who maintain academic excellence will be considered for early admission to Ph.D. programs at IIT Ropar.

According to IIT Ropar, faculty members at NIT Srinagar can apply for postdoctoral positions or other opportunities at the Institute.

A SPOKE center at NIT Srinagar and NIT Jalandhar will contribute to the nation’s development through the Aatmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyan’ in the agriculture, food, and water application domains of research and innovation. Expert mentors from IIT Ropar and relevant industries will guide faculty, students, and research scholars in developing technological solutions to create “Evergreen Bharat.”.

An agreement signed by NIT Srinagar and NIT Jalandhar aims to promote the establishment of a startup incubator, a capacity-building program for innovators, and research in various domains related to water/industry discharge assessment and treatment, as well as advancement in the fields of water/industry discharge assessment, treatment, and management, and water/industry discharge advancement.

The MoU includes academic and research collaboration in mutual interests, exchange of students and faculty, exchange of scholarly information, materials and publications and admission of NIT Srinagar students for PhD at IT Ropar.
