IIIT Hyderabad has announced a one-year Research Translation Fellowship for working professionals

IIIT Hyderabad is offering a year-long research translation fellowship. The fellows will work with the research translation centers already in place in the Applied AI center/INAI. Depending on the project, the products and solutions may be used in healthcare monitoring, diagnostic algorithms, genomics, autonomous cars, or AI for education.

  • This fellowship will allow working professionals to create products based on emerging research at IIIT Hyderabad.
  • Work with research groups and professors will be included in the full-time fellowship.
  • Emerging technologies such as AI, IoT, NLP, Computer Vision, robotics and others will be considered by professors from IIITH’s 20+ research centers.
  • One of these solutions will be built by a team of Fellows this year.
  • Deadline for applications is January 4, 2022.

IIIT Hyderabad offers a year-long Research Translation Fellowship for working professionals who want to help make new products out of the research.

During the full-time fellowship, you will get a stipend and the chance to work with research groups and professors on projects. The fellows will work with the research translation centers that are already in place at the Applied AI center, Product Labs, Smart Cities Living Lab, Raj Reddy Center for Technology and Society, and the Raj Reddy Center for Technology and Society and Product Labs. The technologies that will be looked at will come from the work of professors at the 20+ research centers of IIITH, including new areas like AI, IO1, NLP, Computer Vision, robotics, and other new technologies. In some cases, the products or solutions that are made could be in healthcare monitoring and medical diagnostic algorithms. They could also be in autonomous vehicles, safety solutions, education technology, speech and language technology, smart city devices, and AI analytics. The Fellows will be part of a team that will build one of these solutions over the next 12 months.

It will be a one-year research immersion for professionals working with research groups and learning about the most recent research. They will also be able to learn about how research is used in the real world through the process of building a product.

Prof. C V Jawahar, the Dean of R&D, says this job is for people who have worked in technical roles for more than a year and are interested in research and new technologies. They will also be able to make things that will have a big impact on the whole world.
