First IIT will be established in the UAE under a recently signed trade agreement

An Indian Institute of Technology will be built in the UAE. An IIT for the first time will be built outside of the country. Part of a deal signed between India and the United Arab Emirates on February 18.

A trade deal between India and the United Arab Emirates was signed on February 18. The government of India will be setting up an Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) in the United Arab Emirates as part of that deal. IITs have never been set up outside of the country before.

When Piyush Goyal met with a United Arab Emirates delegation on February 18, he signed a deal called the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement to help both countries work together (CEPA).

India has 23 IITs, which are thought to be the best universities in the country. They offer a wide range of degrees, from BTech to doctoral programs. The best IITs in India are IIT Delhi, IIT Bombay, IIT Kharagpur, and IIT Madras. They are all in the same city: Delhi.

People from the United Arab Emirates came to the United States to sign the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement. The United Arab Emirates delegation was led by Minister of Economy Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri and Minister of State for Foreign Trade Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi.

The agreement said that the two countries would also set up an India–UAE cultural council that will help with cultural projects, cross-cultural exchanges, and exhibitions, among other things.
