Four new eMasters degree programmes are now available at IIT Kanpur for working professionals

The four eMaster’s degrees are in Communication Systems, Cybersecurity, Power Sector Regulation, Economics & Management, and Derivatives Market & Risk Management, respectively. A standard MTech or PhD at IIT Kanpur can be obtained with the credits earned during the program.

New virtual postgraduate programs have been introduced by the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (IIT K). For those interested, the registration deadline is October 26. The official website for the online postgraduate program is: emasters.iitk.ac in The four eMasters are in Communication Systems, Cybersecurity, Power Sector Regulation, Economics and Management, and Derivatives Market & Risk Management. Student’s digital skills will be honed with the help of these e-Masters programs.

The course will have a total of 60 credits and a curriculum focused on an industry that allows flexible completion dates (one to three years). As IIT Kanpur alumni, students who complete a virtual master’s degree will have access to the placement cell, alumni network, and incubation cell of IIT Kanpur.

IIT Kanpur will accept credits acquired throughout the program for an advanced degree (standard MTech or PhD) if a participant chooses to do so and gets Senate clearance. Corporations can also help fund programs for their employees by providing financial support.

According to IIT Kanpur’s official statement, “In August 2020, the Indian government unveiled National Education Policy 2020, which allowed premier academic institutions to grant online degrees for the first time ever.” To celebrate, IIT Kanpur, one of India’s top five NIRF institutions, has decided to offer online master’s degree programs in specific industry-focused fields.

According to Director Abhay Karandikar on making the announcement, IIT Kanpur is a pioneer in providing high-quality education, impactful research, and technology innovation leadership. In announcing eMasters, Mr. Karandikar said, “we have moved another step forward by delivering degree credential programs that give working professionals access to our whole ecosystem of resources and expertise.”
