IIT-D, IISc, and IIT-B among top 100 universities in the world for graduate employment

IIT-D, IISc, and IIT-B among top 100 universities in the world for graduate employment

IIT Delhi is ranked 27th globally, higher than schools like the University of Chicago and the University of California, Berkeley. India’s IISc and IIT-Bombay were ranked sixth and seventh, respectively, in a list of the world’s best universities for job prospects. This is Bangalore University’s first appearance in the top 250. The United States, the United Kingdom, Japan, and Singapore are all in the top 10. Creating employable graduates is one of the core goals of the yearly ranking, which is based on six critical criteria recognized by employers. These six drivers are academic achievement, digital performance, a focus on work, internationalism.

Key Highlight:

  • IIT Delhi is ranked 27th globally, higher than schools like the University of Chicago and University of California, Berkeley.
  • This is Bangalore University’s first appearance in the top 250.
  • The United States, the United Kingdom, Japan, and Singapore are all in theTop 10.
  • The top 250 universities globally are ranked each year by the higher education HR consultancy Emerging and published by the UK-based Times Higher Education (THE).Harvard, Cambridge and Stanford were among the top five universities in the study.
  • IIM-A and IIT Kharagpur made significant gains in their ranks this year.

Among the world’s top 100 universities for graduate employment, three Indian institutions have been named: IIT Delhi, the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) in Bengaluru, and the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IIT).

This year has been very fruitful for the country of India.

The Global Employability University Ranking and Survey (GEURS) released on Wednesday ranked IIT Delhi 27th globally, beating the likes of the University of Chicago, University of California Berkley, and Nanyang Technological University, Singapore.

An additional poll of 10,928 worldwide recruiters and managers from 23 countries and regions placed IISc at 61 (an increase of 10 places from 2020) and IIT-Bombay at 97 (a rise of 31 sites from 2020).

The top 250 universities globally are ranked each year by the higher education HR consultancy Emerging and published by the UK-based Times Higher Education (THE).

Harvard, Cambridge and Stanford were among the top five universities in the study, while IIM-A and IIT Kharagpur made significant gains in their ranks this year.

“First time in years due to strengths in the subject specialization” were cited as reasons for the improvement of Indian institutions. An Indian university has also made it into the top 250 in employability: Amity University (ranked 225).

First time in years, India’s universities have seen a distinct rise since soft skills and digital literacy, and technical specialists have increased. There are six universities ranked last year that have risen an average of 20 places in the rankings. IIT Delhi holds on to the 27th spot. This is Bangalore University’s first appearance in the rankings.

The next generation of superstars

According to the poll, the top 10 countries included the United States, the United Kingdom (UK), Japan (Japan), and Singapore (Singapore). There are some countries and areas that have risen in the rankings, including China, France and India, while the United Kingdom (UK), the United States (US), India, and Israel stand out for their digital performance.”

According to Emerging managing partner Sandrine Belloc, students need to know which universities have the best job prospects.

Put another way, and it suggests that factors such as a person’s ability to learn new technologies, specialization, or soft skills are becoming more significant than a university’s name recognition. As a result of the rankings, students now have a broader selection of universities to choose from when determining where to spend their higher education dollars best to prepare themselves for a long and fruitful career.

Academic excellence (research output, teaching staff quality), digital performance (innovative learning methods, specialist training on digital jobs), work-focused education (entrepreneurial environment; relevant work experience as part of the curriculum), soft skills and technological literacy (internships) comprise the framework upon which the ranking is based (up-to-date technical or business expertise, relevant specialized research).
