5,000 students from across India will participate in the IIT Madras Entrepreneurship Summit 2022

The annual Entrepreneurship Summit will be held from March 3 to 6. The online summit will serve over 800 startups from various industries. The Keynote address will be delivered by Piyush Goyal, Minister of Commerce and Industry in the Government of India. The IIT Madras Entrepreneurship Summit 2022 will feature four conclaves. The ‘Innovators Conclave’ is attended by 400 startups. The fifth edition of the pan-India fund-raising competition, ‘Elevate,’ will also take place at E-Summit.

The IIT Madras Entrepreneurship Cell will host its seventh annual Entrepreneurship Summit from March 3 to 6. The online summit will serve over 800 startups from over 715 colleges.

The online mode should allow many students and entrepreneurs to interact remotely effectively. Participants include alumni and private sector organizations and the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY).

The Indian Minister for Commerce and Industry, Piyush Goyal, will deliver the keynote address at the seventh annual E-Summit.

“Many of our startups have helped society through their hard work, including during the Covid era. Prof. V Kamakoti, Director, IIT Madras, said the E-Summit is important for existing and aspiring entrepreneurs and those in the early stages of setting up a company.

Attending the E-Summit

“The campaign will encourage the use of innovative products, services, and business models that unite India’s social, ecological, and environmental interests,” said Vaidehi Mishra, E-Cell Student Head, IIT Madras.

In addition to entrepreneurs, this edition of E-Summit caters to enthusiasts in a customized manner to teach entrepreneurial skills and learnings through various masterclasses, competitions and challenges.

Conclaves

  • The IIT Madras Entrepreneurship Summit 2022 will have four conclaves: Youth, Innovators, Start-ups, and Sustainability.
  • Each conclave will have 50 events.
  • The ‘Innovators Conclave’ includes around 400 startups, while the ‘Start-up Conclave’ includes another 400.
