To support cutting-edge technologies, IIT-Madras will launch an industry consortium

A business collaboration will assist cutting-edge technology through information resources. Member industries will benefit from knowing about the most recent advancements in data science and artificial intelligence (AI). Researchers from several fields come together at the Robert Bosch Centre for Data Science and Artificial Intelligence (RBCDSAI).

Key Highlight:

  • Researchers from 10 different departments at IIT Madras have come together to form RBCDSAI and a multidisciplinary research institute focused on artificial intelligence (AI)
  • Deep learning, network analytics, reinforcement learning, natural language processing, theoretical machine learning, and ethics, fairness, and explainability in AI are all areas of study at the center.

These new developments in data science and AI will benefit the sectors that are part of the consortium.

It was proposed by the Robert Bosch Centre for Data Science and Artificial Intelligence at the Indian Institute of Technology Madras to start an industrial consortium to give cutting-edge technology information resources support to companies working on artificial intelligence (AI).

For member companies to stay abreast of scientific advances and current trends in AI and data science, the consortium will allow them to engage in dialogue with the center and its professors and participate in events and seminars hosted by the center.

The membership would enable industries to become early movers and shakers in the data science and Al area, with the opportunity to secure new and significant revenue streams.

It’s Balaraman Ravindran, RBCDSAI director, who states that “the objective is to use consortium as a mechanism of disseminating our research output to industry partners fast so that we can work jointly towards its application in the field.”

Industry-specific membership programs are now available at the center. Researchers from 10 different departments at IIT Madras have come together to form RBCDSAI and a multidisciplinary research institute focused on artificial intelligence (AI).

Deep learning, network analytics, reinforcement learning, natural language processing, theoretical machine learning, and ethics, fairness, and explainability in AI are all areas of study at the center.

According to a press release, the center also conducts applied research in financial analytics, manufacturing analytics, smart cities, systems biology, and healthcare…
