The National Entrance Examination for Medical Students (NEET) will be held in Dubai for the first time this year, the Ministry of Education announced on Thursday.
The Education Ministry announced the establishment of a new NEET-UG examination center on Twitter, writing: “A new NEET (UG)-2021 exam center has been established in Dubai, in addition to the one that already exists in Kuwait city.”
The Education Ministry had stated earlier this month that the exam would be held in Kuwait for the first time better to serve the Indian student community in the Middle East and make it more accessible.
During the year 2021, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has decided to establish another center city in Dubai, in addition to the one that has already been found in Kuwait City, according to Human Resources Development Secretary Amit Khare, in a letter to Foreign Secretary of the Ministry of External Affairs.
“It is possible that the Indian population in the Gulf countries would be adequately informed about this. If the Indian embassies in Kuwait and Dubai could be urged to provide their full assistance to the National Testing Agency for the exam to be conducted in a fair and secure manner, I would greatly appreciate it. “He went on to say more.
Recent announcements from the Tamil Nadu Education Ministry include the installation of more NEET UG examination centers. “…for the convenience of the students of Tamil Nadu, four cities — Chengalpet, Virudhunagar, Dindigul, and Tiruppur — have been added to the list of places where NEET(UG) will be conducted,” said Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan in a statement announcing the additional NEET UG exam centers in the state.
The NEET-UG will be held in 13 different languages.
For this year’s test, there will be 13 languages available to choose from Hindi, Punjabi (Assamese), Bengal (Bengali), Odia (Gujarati), Marathi (Telugu), Malayalam (Kannada), Tamil (Tamil Nadu), Urdu (Urdu Nadu), Tamil Nadu (Tamil Nadu), Urdu (Tamil Nadu) and English. Punjabi and Malayalam are two additional languages to the list of available languages.
The NEET, which had been set for the first week of August, has been postponed till September 12th.
