More information can be found at aicte-india.org.
All Universities/Deemed-to-be-Universities/Institutions have been directed by the AICTE to provide Provisional Admissions to these students. Private/Patrachar/Second Compartment students who have not yet received their CBSE results can apply for provisional admission to a variety of higher education institutions.
Students must also fulfill certain rules, according to the AICTE, in order to receive these Provisional Admissions. These students must submit a letter of intent to the institution in which they wish to enroll. This undertaking must state that the student will submit his or her results to the Institute within one week after the CBSE’s announcement of the results. If they do not, their Provisional entry will be immediately revoked.
According to the official notice, “It is directed that students seeking admission to higher education in various courses whose CBSE results have not yet been released (including Private, Patrachar, and Second compartment) be admitted on a provisional basis to their respective institutions/universities. An undertaking should be sought from such that he/she would submit their results to the corresponding institution within one week of the C.B.S.E., failing which the results will be annulled.”
The AICTE has also ordered that all of these institutions implement it right away. This new regulation must also be posted on the Institute’s notice boards and on its website so that everyone is aware of it.
For quite some time, CBSE Private/Patrachar/Second Compartment students have been raising their voices on this problem. They even urged that the exams be canceled and that the results be calculated using different criteria. They were afraid of losing seats if the findings were not released on time.
