mPokket, the company founded by Gaurav Jalan in 2016, had created the scholarship to help students bridge the financial gap they faced when trying to pay for school or extracurricular activities. As part of its CSR initiative to increase financial inclusion, the company announced the scholarship program.

With mPokket, the goal is to help people who are new to credit and don’t have easy access to traditional financial institutions by giving them quick and easy access to cash when they need it most.

About the initiative, Gaurav Jalan (CEO and Co-Founder of mPokket) stated that the company “has always believed in empowering the youth”. Since college students can be found all over India, we’re reaching out to them with this message. I’m happy to announce that the scholarship is open to all Indian college students, regardless of their course of study or whether or not they use mPokket. We hope that our scholarship will assist Indian students in defraying some of the costs associated with their education.”

Students do not have to submit any hard copies of documents because this course is entirely digital. They simply need to upload a copy of their most recent college transcript, their most recent tuition bill, and any other scholarship certificates they may have previously received (if applicable).

mpokket It will be up to the student’s professor to upload a letter of recommendation on his or her behalf. The scholarship money will be deposited into the student’s bank account once it has been verified. On top of all of that, they’ll get a scholarship diploma in digital form.
