To promote Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat, UGC requests that colleges arrange student trips to Indian locations

Student trips to “tourist places” in India have been requested by colleges. By doing this, pupils will be encouraged to embrace the values of Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat (EBSB). The Ministry of Tourism has published a list of 100 places to see while in the country.

  • Students are obliged to study destinations and their history, scientific contributions, traditions, and knowledge under the EK Bharat Shreshtha Bharat Program.

University Grants Commission (UGC) requests colleges to organize student trips to Indian “tourist hotspots” to enable students better grasp India’s rich cultural heritage. UGC’s most recent notice will help spread and reinforce the Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat (EBSB) spirit among students.

The ministry of tourism produced a list of 100 tourist locations, which the commission has included. Students are obliged to study destinations and their history, scientific contributions, traditions, indigenous literature, and knowledge under the EK Bharat Shreshtha Bharat Program by educational institutions under the UGC.

To avoid any confusion, the commission gave the universities the go-ahead to plan the visit as soon as the COVID restrictions were released ultimately. As long as the Covid-19 limits are in place, schools can digitally urge their students to learn about these places. The HEIs are also required to report to the Ministry of Education via the email address ebsbmhrdro@gmail.com on the actions they have conducted.

The Ministry of Tourism has produced a list of places to visit throughout the country. The list omits any monuments in Delhi. Andaman’s Cellular Jail and Mumbai’s Gateway of India were left out as well.

According to the National Education Policy (NEP), 2020, this project has been developed to enhance and promote among students the spirit of Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat (EBSB).
