This week, filmmaker Anurag Kashyap underwent angioplasty surgery. He is now back in his own home recovering from his surgery on “Gangs of Wasseypur.” Aaliyah Anurag shared her first glimpse of her father’s new film. In a video she shared on her Instagram stories, she showed a short clip of her father.
There are bushy eyebrows and a bald head on Anurag in the video. This man is wearing a black mask and a blue T-shirt. While he stares at the camera as it zooms in on his face, two girls can be heard laughing in the background. “I am so blind,” he says, looking at the camera. Snapchat/Instagram filters are likely to have been used to capture the video.
According to a source close to him, he underwent the cardiac procedure because he was experiencing chest pains. “Yes, he underwent an angioplasty. He is now recuperating. Thank you for your concern,” replied his representative. In addition to resting for a couple of weeks, the director, 48, was also told to stop working for a while.
Anurag Kashyap is best known for his critically acclaimed films “Black Friday,” “Raman Raghav 2.0,” and the Netflix show “Sacred Games.” He has recently wrapped up his new-age thriller movie “Dobaaraa,” featuring his “Manmarziyaan” star Taapsee Pannu and Pavail Gulati. The film is in post-production.
Anurag Kashyap was last seen in ‘AK vs AK,’ which was directed by Vikramaditya Motwane. Anil Kapoor was also a part of the film. Saiyami Kher and Roshan Mathew star in the Netflix film ‘Choked’ (2020), his last project.
