IIT-ISM, Dhanbad students have given the country great pride once again. Siddhant Sharma, a BTech student, has won the European Innovation Award for excellence in innovation. He was one of the two winners of the challenge jointly named “Innovate 2030: Digital Natives for a Sustainable Future – Challenge,” which was jointly held by students of the KTH Royal Institute of Technology and Sairaj Ponnoju of the Stockholm University.

Two teams participated in the final match, which was held on September 8, and Sharma’s squad emerged victoriously. According to Siddhant, his team built a digital interface platform that is capable of retrieving and recycling used publications. When the Dhanbad student realized that used objects in affluent countries cannot be simply discarded, this idea stuck in his head.

On top of that, IIT-ISM Dhanbad has proposed a way to help farmers. To improve the accessibility of their goods, the business institute will link with smaller-scale farmers and enterprises. As a secondary goal, IIT Dhanbad’s experts will seek to tackle other technological issues that firms face.

IIT Dhanbad will join the NITI Aayog’s program to boost micro-businesses (Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises). The duty of this project was given to IIT Dhanbad. To facilitate the initiative becoming a reality, a program has been implemented.
