IIT Roorkee in India has teamed up with the Mehta Family Foundation in the United States to launch a new educational program. Data Science and Artificial Intelligence Mehta Family School was created by the Institute (AI).
The new school at IIT Roorkee seeks to produce highly competent workers, particularly in the fields of AI and data science. Students will be able to learn and progress in these new and expanding subjects if the university offers Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctoral Programs.
To begin in September 2022, students at the Mehta Family School of Data Science & Artificial Intelligence will be accepted into the program for the first time. Different Programs’ curricula will provide specialized training and certification in the disciplines of artificial intelligence and data science. This is the goal. The length of the programs will vary, and more information on this will be released in the near future.
Data science and AI will be established at IIT Roorkee on September 27th, 2021, according to an announcement. Also on the same day, the Institute and the Mehta Family Foundation inked an MoU. Many stakeholders, including IIT Roorkee Director Prof. Ajit K. Chaturvedi and CEO of the Mehta Family Foundation Rahul Mehta, presided over the virtual event.
Another person who attended the occasion was IIT Roorkee President Dr. BVR Mohan Reddy, who was joined by Professor Vijay Raghavan, the Government of India’s Principal Scientific Advisor; Professor Sandeep Verma, Secretary of Science and Engineering; and Professor Sandeep Verma.
A number of modest actions will be taken to ensure the success of this effort, according to the IIT Roorkee and Mehta Family Foundation. Launching student scholarships and faculty exchange programs, for example, would be a significant first step for the Foundation Atmanirbhar Bharat would also strive to have projects centered on Make-in-India.
