The Ministry of Ayush signed an agreement with Croatia on Wednesday, paving the path for academic collaboration in India’s traditional medical systems, particularly in the subject of Ayurveda. According to an announcement from the Ministry of AYUSH, the All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA) and Croatia’s Kvarner Health Tourism Cluster inked a Memorandum of Understanding. AIIA is a department within the Ayush Ministry. The MoU with Croatia is a crucial step to strengthen India’s international relations and promote academic research, clinical and educational activities, medical education, training, and competency building. As part of the signing ceremony, Dr. Manoj Nesari, the Ministry of Ayush’s Adviser-Ayurveda, and Raj Shrivastava, India’s Ambassador to Croatia, signed the MoU on behalf of AllA. The Croatian delegation was represented by Assistant Professor Vladimir Mozetic, President of the Cluster’s Management Board, and Professor Sandra Jankovic, Sandra Martincic, and Anna Maria Libric, all of the Cluster’s Management Board.
Earlier this week, a six-person delegation led by Special Secretary Ayush Pramod Kumar Pathak traveled to Croatia to participate in the first International Yoga and Ayurveda Conference. The two sides would collaborate with the designated institutions to carry out academic activities in Ayurveda. Ayurvedic principles and practices will be integrated with modern medicine through close cooperation and collaboration in research, including study design and execution, evidence-based guidelines for integrating Ayurveda with modern medicine, and lectures, workshops, seminars, and conferences on Ayurveda. Both parties shall develop Ayurvedic medical education rules for Ayurveda education in Croatia following the institution’s demands, end-users, and stakeholders. This will encourage clinical and academic research, as well as medical education, training, and the development of competency “, according to Dr. Manoj Nesari, the Ministry of Ayush’s Advisor-Ayurveda.
One of the Cluster’s objectives is to connect members with international partners for a more comprehensive offer of health and tourism products. Still, to educate members of the Association, we believe that this business cooperation with the Indian Ministry opens a new opportunity to connect our 32 members with Indian potential partners. Besides enhancing Kvarner’s health and tourism offerings, we’ll collaborate with new partners on educational initiatives, including training and competency development, “Dr. Vladimir Mozetic made the statement.
