Santanu Chaudhury, Director of IIT Jodhpur, Prof. Sampat Raj Vadera, Deputy Director, Sunil Bansal, President of the Rajasthan Solar Association, Anil Kumar Saboo, Chairman of Elektrolites and President of the Indian Electrical and Electronics Manufacturers’ Association, and other people were at the center’s launch event, which was held on March 6.
Mr. Kumar said that the solar industry is the lifeline of Rajasthan and that there is a 33 GW power pipeline that will be set up in 2-3 years. Our goal was to speed up solar industries in Rajasthan so that many entrepreneurs and small businesses could come forward and set up manufacturing units in the IIT Jodhpur technology Park, especially for electronics components that are currently imported.
This center will also play an important role in providing training and up-skilling opportunities, and the Rajasthan Solar Association has already signed an agreement with a German government agency that does business all over the world. With their help, we will teach master class students how to be more productive right away, and we will also connect academics and business leaders more effectively, he said.
