Vivek Vaidya, an IIT Delhi alumni, would donate Rs 10 crores to the Institute’s endowment fund. Vivek Vaidya has already sent IIT Delhi Rs 2.25 crores as a first step. Superset’s start-up studio helps find, fund, and build technology businesses. He is a co-founder and the general partner of the studio and the CTO.

IIT Delhi alumnus Vivek Vaidya has donated Rs 10 crores to the endowment fund of his old school. First, he has already given IIT Delhi Rs 2.25 crores.

An MS in mathematics and computer science from IIT Delhi and an MS in computer science from the University of Denver, USA, are two degrees that Vaidya earned after school. A statement from the Institute says that he has built industry-leading technology companies in the fields of enterprise software, data management, analytics, and machine learning or AI over the last two decades.

As of right now, he is the co-founder, general partner, and chief technology officer of Superset, a start-up studio that finds, funds, and builds data-driven technology start-ups. For another company, he is also the co-founder and CTO. He also works for Ketch and Markov ML.

The IIT Delhi Endowment Fund has made much progress in just over two years. V Ramgopal Rao, the director of IIT Delhi, and the chairman of the IIT Delhi Endowment Management Foundation, said: “There is no doubt that this initiative has been a major milestone in the Institute’s history.” Thank you for becoming a member of the Endowment Fund.

We look forward to Vivek Vaidya’s active involvement in the Institute and its future growth plans.

Arun Duggal, a well-known alumnus and the co-chairman of the IIT Delhi Endowment Management Foundation, said, “I would like to welcome Vivek as the founder of the IIT Delhi Endowment Fund. I look forward to working with him.” It is great to have a well-known person like him join the Founders group to give back to our old school.

PV Madhusudhan Rao, the Dean of Alumni Affairs at IIT Delhi, said that more and more alumni are coming forward to help the Institute. This will help us achieve our goal of becoming one of the best universities in the world.
